GO IN - in 1972 it was a small shop with selected furniture and accessory in Munich.
GO IN - is today the leading, globally working company for hospitality and industry. Just have a look how GO IN developed ...
-
1972 1972GO IN is founded in Munich and opens a small shop in Altheimer Eck 6 selling leisure furniture and craft products.
-
1973 1973-1975
Imported French Bistro tables and Italian Bentwood chairs form the basis of our specialised furniture collections.
-
1975 1975-1978
We complete our first restaurant-furnishing commissions using Bistro furniture. With coloured stains, we give Bentwood furniture a completely new look.
-
1976 1976
Move to 3 Herzogspitalstraße. Constant expansion and a growing order book resulted in our, long having outgrown our former premises. Our new home, on two floors, gave us plenty of room for display, sales and storage.
-
1977 1977
Our development of a variety of new colour variations is followed by our introduction of a range of chairs especially suited to the needs of the catering industry; one of the most successful being a more stable version of the classical Viennese Coffee-House Chair.
-
1978 1978-1980
We devise our modular table system (including our registered design Table Top Adaptor) as the best way to satisfy the catering industry's needs for mobility and flexibility. Our very successful Modular System was born.
-
1981 1981-1983
We continue to expand and develop our modular system. Our own moulding methods and tools enable us to create unique Table variations by clever use of a variety of bases. Our innovative and creative solutions form the basis of our distinctive furniture collections for the catering industry.
-
1984 1984-1987
We present our modular system at an international fair for the first time and find immediate acceptance in a market. The creative scope of architects and interior designers is vastly increased by their access to our modular collections.
-
1988 1988-1991
Our situation in the inner city having already become too cramped, we move to larger production and warehousing facilities on the outskirts of Munich. The business expands rapidly and is eventually transformed from being just a trading concern into a manufacturing and retailing company.
-
1992 1992-1994
We continue to concentrate on the leisure furniture market. An investment in England's tradition-rich Lusty's Lloyd Loom Ltd., enables us to secure the exclusive rights to both its brand name and its Loom Furniture production methods. A new collection of classic Loom furniture was created.
-
1995 1995
We strengthen our ability to cater to the needs of the market by increasing our already close cooperation with the founder of Eastern Europe's defunct Thonet-Werken, Godobert Reisenthel, who designs many of our new products. The high profile of the name GO IN as a significant player in the market place is the successful culmination of our longterm development strategy.
-
1996 1996-1997
Our rapidly increasing share of the European market brings with it substantial logistical challenges, for which Executive Board member Roland Lincke develops the necessary solutions. With its superb design, production and marketing techniques, to say nothing of its efficiency and streamlined management, GO IN has become a market leader in its field.
-
1998 1998
We continue to expand rapidly. We have outgrown our production and warehousing facilities on the outskirts of Munich. We move into 20.000 sqm., premises in Landsberg am Lech, 60 kilometres south-west of Munich, more than enough to house all our manufacturing facilities and warehousing needs, as well as our 100 plus administrative staff.
-
1999 1999-2002
Our ever-increasing volume of European business demands closer proximity to our overseas markets, leading to the decision to open foreign branches; beginning with our Viennese subsidiary GO IN Ges.mbH.
-
2003 2002-2004
In December 2003, our Paris branch was foundet and opened in spring 2004. We also improved our representation in northern Germany by opening a showroom in Berlin in spring 2004.
-
2005 2005-2007
For increasing export business and a continously increasing product range we needed an automatisation of the catalogue production. From 2007 we offered a catalogue in German, English and French. Due to company growth the warehousing and offices were extended.
-
2007 2007
Godobert Reisenthel - founder, owner and senior partner of GO IN - died on 8th October 2007. His oldest son Maurus Reisenthel who already had worked some years in the GO IN development department, became managing director in 2007 .
-
2008 2008
With the publication of their new main catalogue in January 2008, the company will present their new corporate design. Maurus Reisenthel designed a shelf-system in the current GO IN design. This new system shows the GO IN products in the showrooms and on trade fairs in the optimal way. GO IN presented their new look for the first time in a 180 m2 booth at INTERGASTRA in Stuttgart, the industry meeting for the catering and hotel industry. The showrooms in Landsberg, Vienna, Berlin and Paris will be redesigned.
-
2009 2009
The export expansion demands closer proximity to our customers in Northern Europe. Therefore GO IN founded a branch in London, United Kingdom, in May 2009. As a competent partner we would like to ensure the best solution to our customers. An innovative and reliable webshop is part of our service. In February 2010, our web relaunch will offer an advanced product configurator with the possibility to configure GO IN products individually and detailled. You see the products in 3D and receive prices and technical information. Ordering will be easy and help you to get your products.
