Bistro tables

Bistro tables and chairs give your restaurant a French flair and that typical continental sense of 'Laissez faire'. In France they are an integral element of the street scene - the traditional rattan bistro table and chairs. Cafes, brasseries and bistros around the world now rely on these comfortable restaurant classics. All the frames are made of unpeeled rattan finished with a polyurethane varnish to guard against dirt and moisture. The edges and weaving of the bistro furniture are made of a TÜV-certified nylon cord, which makes all bistro tables and stools UV resistant with excellent tensile strength. Bistro tables and chairs can be used indoors or outside, although it is better for outdoor furniture to be under cover. The bistro furniture should not be left outside for long periods of time in bad weather; instead they should be stored inside or covered over. Special covers are available for bistro tables and chairs. A large umbrella over this type of furniture will not provide sufficient protection during prolonged periods of bad weather.

Bistro tables, bistro chairs and weaving materials

Neoprofil weaving is simply wire encased in plastic, which forms a matt, textured surface that gives a little when sat upon. As a result, bistro chairs are very cosy, comfortable, light and easy to stack. The anodised aluminium tubing is totally weatherproof and very trendy. Bistro tables are timeless: not only do they suit French-style cafés but they also combine well with other restaurant furniture (e.g. rattan chairs, upholstered chairs, lounge chairs, folding chairs, stools and designer furniture).

Bistro tables made of marble; marble tables

Bistro tables made of marble are seen as high quality bistro furniture. However, you should remember that marble is a porous material and requires constant care and attention. Bistro tables made of marble should be treated approximately every three months with a stone cleaning agent (e.g. Marpol, RZ Marble Care) in order to prevent stains from penetrating. Bistro tables that are well looked after will keep their natural shine and resist the build-up of dirt. Equally, marble cleaning agents protect against scratches and can refresh matt finishes. Food spills, liquids and other forms of dirt should be cleaned off the table as soon as possible so that they cannot penetrate into the marble. These cleaning agents can often be used on materials other than marble, such as table tops made of Terrazzo, granite, Werzalit etc. Bistro tables made of marble have no drill holes in order to avoid fracture points from forming and are often fixed to wooden plates to give them increased stability and rigidity. Bistro tables made of marble represent a French way of life and are truly beautiful. Your guests will love them.

Bistro tables made of aluminium, aluminium tables

Aluminium, when exposed to air, quickly forms an oxide layer, giving it a silvery-grey look. This oxide layer makes aluminium extremely resistant to rust and corrosion. Aluminium is highly malleable and can be rolled into thin sheets, making it the perfect material for bistro tabletops. Unlike marble, aluminium is very low maintenance, as liquids such as red wine or coffee never penetrate the smooth surface and can be easily wiped away. Bistro tables made of aluminium and other aluminium tables are popular because of their simplicity and sophistication. These restaurant tables are particularly well suited to outdoor use, given the rust resistance of aluminium. Even a salty climate does not damage aluminium furniture. Where ease of stacking and clearing is of the essence, bistro tables and chairs made of aluminium are the perfect solution. Aluminium tables are very lightweight and can also be carried with ease by e.g. female staff. Aluminium chairs are also very lightweight and easy to stack. Bistro tables made of aluminium are available in square, rectangular or round designs. Where environmental issues are concerned, aluminium is very easy to recycle. Surfaces and tabletops made of aluminium are not harmful to health and are therefore ideal for use in the food processing industry, as well as in restaurants and hotels.
