GO IN stocks over 800,000 furniture goods in its high-bay warehouse in Landsberg/Munich and is therefore in the unique position to be able to deliver all goods at very short notice. 90 percent of all goods are permanently in store and can be despatched at any time. And the GO IN online shop provides the opportunity to individually configure and order furniture in all styles round the clock online. Suggestions by customers, trend scouts as well as constant in-house developments have for decades ensured that the GO IN furniture programme is regarded as trend setting, opening almost unlimited design opportunities. GO IN furniture can be combined with over 100 fabric, artificial leather and leather variants, 100 surface types as well as 15 wood shades. Based on a simple modular system, stools, barstools and tables can be matched with an unrivalled number of floor parts, table columns, tops, creating almost endless seating possibilities. That way, a vast range of different objects can be furnished in a highly individual fashion. All this guarantees that almost any idea for furnishing any object can be successfully implemented – at budget prices, as delivery can take place directly from the furniture manufacturer.
From retailer to global online furniture store
Today, GO IN is the leading, globally active enterprise for commercial furnishings in the catering and hotel industry. Yet, everything was relatively placid, when Godobert Reisenthel set up the company in 1972, initially selling small furniture and art and craft articles in his Munich store. However, as early as 1973 he imported bistro tables from France and bentwood chairs in Thonet Style from Italy, which he sold successfully in Germany. In 1975, GO IN furnished the first restaurants with new-style colourful bistro furniture made from bentwood. More colours and other models of the classic Viennese coffee house chair were added over the following years. The newly developed modular system for tables with different tops and frames was designed at the end of the 70ies and successfully presented at international fairs in the mid-80ies. New commercial furniture collections for the hospitality and catering industry were also designed during this period, which proved to be a great success with architects and interior designers. At the beginning of the 90ies, GO IN acquired an interest in the UK-based furniture manufacturer Lusty's Lloyd Loom Ltd., which gave the company the right to use the name of Lloyd Loom and to obtain important knowledge about the production of Loom furniture. From 1995, GO IN cooperated with the well-known Thonet Works in Eastern Europe. Another milestone in the 90ies was the move to Landsberg a. L., where now 20,000 sqm warehouse and production space were available. The following years saw the internationalisation of the Landsberg furniture manufacturer Sales offices and showrooms were opened in Vienna (2001), Paris (2003), Berlin (2004) and London (2009). GO IN adopted a new corporate design in 2008, which was impressively presented at the INTERGASTRA in Stuttgart, covering an area of 180 sqm. The offices and showrooms in Berlin, Vienna, Paris and London also adopted the new image of the commercial premises. Hand in hand with the new corporate design, GO IN went online introducing its new internet furniture store at the beginning of 2010.

Based on the user-friendliness of the website, he finds all colours, all items of furniture as well as useful additional information. The category “Products” provides the user with a quick overview of the furniture programme. Using the “Quick finder”, smart pre-selection according to type, colour, material, characteristic and/or furniture collection, the client finds exactly the product, he is looking for. The “Search” function in the main menu provides speedy results – regardless of whether materials, colours or an article number is entered. The configurator enables the client to discover the entire versatility of the products. All items of furniture can be combined online with different designs, colours or materials. The user is able to obtain all technical data, matching care products and recommended combinations with just one click – or as PDF to print out. The online configurator covers the complete range; hence the user only orders what actually belongs together and matches. The bench system configurator in 3D simplifies the entire planning process with intuitive tools. The shop visitor only needs to enter the required measurements and planning proposals for basic forms and colour ideas for cushion cover variants will provide him with plenty of inspiration. The required configuration can be saved and sent per email to GO IN for further advice. Alternatively, the client can order the furniture he has chosen online and pay for it on receipt of invoice – that is comfortable interior design with modular GO IN bench systems.
Once he has found the required products in the online store, the user can buy his furniture online using the comfortable basket function. Should the user still be uncertain, he has the opportunity at the beginning of the order process to choose between enquiry and order. If he has any questions, the user can always use the call-back function – GO IN will be pleased to return his call and to inform the user about products, services, delivery times and shipping terms.
Buy furniture directly from the manufacturer
GO IN is not exclusively a furniture dealer but also a furniture manufacturer. This provides interior designers, architects, hotel designers and procurers with the opportunity to buy budget furniture directly from the manufacturer. In our capacity as furniture manufacturers, we attach particular value to sophisticated design and the highest quality in both development and production. Due to our own production and design division, we are able to ensure that our programme is always up-to-date. Apart from strict quality control, all articles are subjected to physical tests in accordance with EN DIN standards, which are carried out in close cooperation with certified institutes. GO IN produces its furniture at the headquarters in Landsberg/Munich on 20,000 sqm production and storage space. A hundreds of thousands of goods in the high-bay warehouse are waiting to be despatched. Due to the wide range of variants, GO IN has dismantled resp. only partly assembled some of its furniture. These products are marked with symbols in the catalogue and the online furniture shop. Anybody, who does not want to purchase partly assembled or dismantled furniture, can use the GO IN assembly service. The service is provided against a small extra charge and the furniture will be despatched already fully assembled. In the modular system, barstools are despatched complete with seat variant as standard without extra charge. Table frames are delivered partly assembled. The buyer receives one assembled table frame per delivery to be used as an example. The remaining frames are delivered in three parts (system foot, column, cast iron top). The assembly of table tops is not provided, as the greater volume would considerably increase shipping costs. GO IN grants its customers a 10-day right of return on all standard articles. Furniture and other articles, which are made to order, can only be returned at a reduced price; specific products (e.g. with special paint finish) cannot be returned. All articles must be returned in unused condition and in its original packaging free of charge to GO IN.
Swedish/Scandinavian designer furniture
GO IN also produces the generally very popular Swedish or Scandinavian designer furniture, which is presented in its WOOD ART Collection and aimed at locations in a modern interpreted country house style that require attractive seating arrangements in exclusive Scandinavian design made from solid wood (oak or beech). The designer Alexander Pelikan has created unique chairs, benches and bar chairs for GO IN. The Scandinavian furniture can be optionally fitted with seat pads, covered with artificial leather in beige, dark red, green, coffee brown or black. Other covers or special colours are also possible. The frames are offered in oak (clear varnish) or in beech (nature clear varnish or merano brown varnish and lacquer). Very attractive in this series is the wooden chair from solid oak with a full wooden back, whitewashed and varnished. Matching these chairs the series also includes whitewashed oak tables in in Scandinavian design.
French and Italian restaurant furniture
French and Italian furniture for example can be found in the MAR Y SOL, ARENA und IBIZA Collections, whereby the two first named are suitable for outdoors. The MAR Y SOL series includes seating furniture in typical French style: in rattan look from aluminium either in nylon weave in beige-brown, Bordeaux-red, black or in colourful fabric weave in yellow or red. Also colourful are the folding chairs of the ARENA Collection, whose frame has been made from galvanised, narrow flat steel in white (or grey). The seat and the back are from fabric weave in red, white or blue. The Mediterranean outdoor furniture in these series is an excellent choice for street cafés, small restaurants, bistros, bars or vinotheques. The IBIZA Collection has been designed for the interior area and includes the classic Mediterranean chairs and barstools made from solid beech with rice straw seat. Alternatively, the chairs and stools can be fitted with an upholstered seat pad. The solid wood frames are either untreated or come in the colours nature, walnut, merano and in fresh pastel shades such as yellow, rosé, green or blue. The typical straw seat only comes in the nature variant. The Mediterranean furniture of the IBIZA series fit very well into small hotels, taverns, osterias, brasseries, and pizzerias resp. Italian, Spanish or Greek restaurants.
