Patio furniture for hotels and restaurants

Who doesn't dream of whiling away the hours on chic patio furniture out on the veranda? Well designed garden and patio furniture items unite metal frames with hardwood to create attractive tables and chairs. Patio furniture should ideally be made of weatherproof exotic hardwoods, such as teak, robinia and keruing wood. Suppliers of furniture for hotels and restaurants usually offer a broad range of materials, many of which can be used outdoors. The range covers a wide selection of weatherproof furniture, including folding chairs, stacking chairs, marble tables, rattan chairs, bistro chairs, bistro tables, bar tables, chairs with armrests, barstools, benches, tables in different shapes and sizes and large outdoor umbrellas.

Depending on the kind of wood used, your patio furniture may arrive at your door already treated with some kind of natural oil so that it will resist any kind of bad weather, such as rain, frost, or snow. For permanent protection in the case of outdoor use, you should regularly reapply this protective coating. The appropriate oil that matches the original colour can be purchased in specialist stores or ordered directly from the restaurant furniture supplier. Please note that untreated terrace furniture must be oiled before being put outside to prevent the surface of the furniture from becoming rough and weather-beaten. However, patio furniture can also have quite a different look. Lightweight, airy and comfortable: bar stools, chairs and loungers made from powder-coated aluminium or stainless steel. The backs and seats are made from synthetic polyethylene-based fibres or a robust ployester weave. Both materials have great tensile strength and are UV and weather resistant. The polyester weave can be ordered in a wide range of prints. This patio furniture is easy to stack because the high quality of the material makes it so light in weight.

Patio furniture made of stainless steel

It's the same thing every year: the first sunny days invite people to go outside and have a drink sitting in the sun. However, for restaurant managers this means first getting the patio furniture out of winter storage. Even the most robust outdoor furniture is usually stored inside for a few winter months to keep it safe from frost, cold and snow. This means a lot of work putting away the chairs in autumn and getting them out again in spring: an annoying and time-consuming business, that also takes up a great deal of storage space. Restaurant managers who want to save time and space select a better option: patio furniture made of stainless steel is not prone to damage caused by rust or cold weather and can still be used throughout the winter and spring months whenever the temperature climbs high enough. Nowadays there is a wide range of high quality patio and designer furniture made of stainless steel, often combined with equally robust materials, such as granite or ceramic table tops. This patio furniture is so beautiful to look at that it would be a sin to hide it away through the winter.

Patio furniture made of Werzalit

Werzalit is a unique and highly robust wooden material that was developed some 50 years ago. Werzalit is totally weatherproof, extremely durable and available in a wide range of different shapes and colours. It is therefore ideal for the production and design of such furniture items as patio tabletops. Werzalit is a precise blend of softwood and hardwood compacted at high pressure with special duroplastic resins. This produces a highly robust composite with an even structure which is also biodegradable!

However, it is not just its homogenous and compact structure that makes Werzalit such a clever material; the precise formulation and a special surface finish help to make it so exceptional. Once the original moulding has been produced the adhesive strength of the resins in the surface and core materials is activated at a temperature of approx. 165ºC, producing a permanent composite. This makes a tabletop highly resistant to moisture, heat and mechanical stress. Werzalit has frequently been copied by competitors but nothing has come close to its quality. Anyone holding a Werzalit product for the first time would hardly imagine that it was not made of plastic. From the outside it looks strong and robust, but inside it is all natural wood. Werzalit is perfect for patio furniture and also for window sills, balconies and facades. Under extreme conditions in climate chambers and in long-term trials in the open air the material undergoes constant and stringent external and internal tests. The weatherproof qualities of the core and the lightfastness of the material are guaranteed for up to 15 years!

Patio furniture made of Werzalit therefore consists of high quality products suitable for interior and exterior use. The material is scratch and impact resistant and weatherproof. This patio furniture is available in a variety of attractive looks, including mosaic, marble, granite and anthracite. Under strong UV rays the surface of tables can become slightly distorted but this is a normal physical process that is reversible (ie the distortion resolves itself). Patio tables are available in round, square or rectangular designs.
